About Kevin Scott-Wood

If someone asked me to sum up what defines me as a photographer I would say that it is a combination of personal and professional life experiences: inspiration from luminary Sebastiao Salgado, whose work has the capability to literally take my breath away and people like Eve Arnold who captured Marilyn Monroe at her most intimate and vulnerable, and importantly a desire to create not just a photo, more an image that captures a moment in time that creates a lasting memory

I have always loved photography and treasure the images from my life that provide my memories; an early childhood spent in the Far East; family occasions and holidays and not least my wedding to my wife, best friend and business partner Rowena. Becoming a professional photographer is the realisation of a dream and the culmination of hard work, study, the support of many good people and a little bit of luck.

I would say my style of photography is photojournalism, anticipating what can happen and being there when it does. I love travel and architectural photography but happily I also love photographing people so weddings and events are a natural fit for me and sometimes I get to combine my love of travel and architecture with photographing great events! I have photographed weddings and worked with corporate clients in Italy and France, with my work recently featuring in advertising campaigns in Paris, Florence, Lake Garda and New York.

For me the ability to create fantastic images is a privilege born of an enduring passion that continues to inspire and motivate me to do something that I love every day
