Is your style of photography right for me?
My style of photography is documentary wedding photography. Sometimes referred to as reportage or photojournalism. I capture the emotions, laughter and love and let the images tell the story of your day as it happens. It’s an ideal approach if you love great photography but don’t want to spend hours posing.
Are you a full time photographer?
Emphatically, yes!
Are you insured?
Yes. I’m fully insured for professional indemnity and public liability.
What happens if you can’t make it to our day?
I have a network of established photographers that I can call upon in such an event. I haven’t missed a wedding thus far and it would take something extraordinary to prevent me getting to your wedding. Simple colds and minor injuries are dealt with summarily – the show must go on!
What equipment do you use?
I work solely with Nikon equipment and I always have multiple camera bodies, spare batteries, numerous lenses and extra memory cards.
What sort of wedding packages do you offer?
You can see details on theInvestment Page.
Do you take family shots?
Although my style is to capture your day as it happens I can set aside some time to take formal family shots. I do these quickly and efficiently so as not to impact on the flow of the day. Around 6-8 shots is the optimum if you don’t want to impact the flow. If you do want lots of group shots my style of photography may not be for you.
Do you take couples portraits?
I usually take a few more romantic photographs of you during the day. This normally only takes around 10-15 minutes and it’s entirely up to you whether you want to do this or not. I work in a very relaxed way and quite often it gives you the opportunity to just have a little time to yourselves whilst I get on with capturing you at what is often the most relaxed point of your day.
How long will you be at the wedding – do we feed you?
Essentially I will stay as long as you need me to do up to midnight on the actual day. Coverage past midnight is charged additionally. Coverage for rehearsal dinners the night before and celebration breakfasts and lunches the day after is also available.
As it generally is a long day and one in which I don’t want to miss anything a light meal provided by your caterers is appreciated.
My wedding isn’t local to you – do you travel?
Yes I do. I charge a small travel fee for weddings over 150 miles away and destination weddings.
For long distance weddings I will normally travel to your event the day before to avoid being caught in any traffic challenges on the day and to ensure I’m with you in plenty of time.
How do we book you for our day?
The first thing to do is check my availability. You can also call me on 0370 626 5200 or 07963 033 266.
I usually respond to e-mails within a day and usually straight away. Once my availability is confirmed everything can be done via e-mail to secure me for your day. You’ll also need to pay a non-refundable retainer of £400 and sign the contract that I will send to you.
I’m unable to take provisional bookings or ‘hold’ days.
